Purpose: To provide the participants with the essentials of effective public speaking and
the opportunities to practice and receive individual feedback for improvement
Target Participants: Children between 12-17 years old who are motivated to develop their
confidence and skills in public speaking.
Date: 6 April - 1 June, 2022 (9 Consecutive Wednesdays)
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (1.5 hours)
Format: Online interactive over Zoom
Class Size: Maximum 12 Participants
Graduation:
Attended 80% of the Class
Successfully delivered 2 Assigned Speeches
Individual Written Feedback will be provided to each graduate
Certificate of Completion awarded upon graduation
Workshop Fee:
$100 per participant (no refund unless class cancelled)
Includes Participant Manual (soft copy)

Typical Meeting Rundown:
Short Educational Session covering the various key components of Effective Speaking
Participants giving prepared speeches (2-4 min in duration)
Feedback to the Participant Speakers by Counsellors
Participants giving unprepared speeches (1-2 min in duration) and receiving
immediate feedback
Guest Speakers (youth speakers to share their learning experiences)
